Climate Aware Robotics for Energy System
Cares
The Project
The CARES project develops innovative solutions for the inspection and monitoring of energy infrastructure, integrating robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve safety and operational efficiency, and contribute to the decarbonization of the sector.
Mission
The CARES (Climate-Aware Robotics for Energy Systems) project aims to develop a comprehensive solution for the inspection and monitoring of energy infrastructure. This project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve safety, and increase efficiency. CARES involves the creation of an inspection system based on computer vision and artificial intelligence, a fleet of ground robots, advanced sensors, a remote detection system, and a fleet management system. These components will be integrated to create an innovative tool that will enable the early detection and prevention of potential failures, reduce the risk of accidents, and accurately quantify methane emissions.
The project will contribute to the decarbonization of the energy sector by improving safety and efficiency in inspection and monitoring operations.
