iArBox

Project

iArboxis an ambitious project aimed at revolutionizing the management of urban trees through the use of cutting-edge technologies.

iArboxcontributes to maintaining urban biodiversity and climate resilience, aligning with the goals of theNational Biodiversity Future Centerand the fourMCRV pillars(Monitoring, Care, Response, Evaluation), offering a replicable model for the sustainable management of urban green spaces.

Mission

The main goal of theiArboxproject isto preserve and promote the health of ancient urban trees, thereby contributing to the conservation of urban biodiversity, the improvement of air and environmental quality, and the enhancement of ecosystem services.

The innovative approach ofiArboxis based on the integration of various technologies, including:

This system makes it possible to collect real-time data on tree health, monitoring key parameters such as:

Through the analysis of this data,iArbox is able to identify early any tree problems or stress and provide support for targeted interventions.

Furthermore, the project aims to actively carry out interventions, treatments, and best management practices in order to test and implement the monitoring system and assess the trees’ response. In the long term,iArboxseeks to become a replicable model for the sustainable management of urban trees worldwide, thus contributing to the creation of greener, more resilient, and livable cities for future generations.
